Creating a starship in Painter & Paintshop Pro.

Always use reference material to jump start the imagination.

 I start this painting in Paintshop Pro creating stars

Adding more stars and flares.

Adding Planets

Using KPT plugins Lensflare effect.

Using Flare Vertical preset.

 Then I take it into Corel Painter and turn off all the underlying layers and paint with a cool grey.

I then turn on all the bottom layers and turn on Pick Up Underlying Colors.

 I'm able to pick up colors from the layers below  to get a reflective light from the Lensflare.

Use Spring Flame Glow Particle brush to create flames added lights & graphics. 

Adjust;Blur then Motion Blur.

The Angle at 287 the Strength at 67% click Ok.
